Clack-FireThe Executive Board of the OGCC meets once a month to review the previous month’s meeting, discuss plans for the upcoming monthly meeting, and to discuss community events and issues.

The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Oak Grove Fire Station located at 2930 SE Oak Grove, Blvd., Milwaukie. All meetings are open to the public.

The Oak Grove Fire Station 3 houses Engine 3 and Medic 3 and is staffed with fifteen career personnel who work three separate 24-hour shifts. Each shift has one company officer (captain or a lieutenant), an apparatus operator, and three firefighters. Due to the high need in the area, the Medic 3 unit is usually one of the first on scene to respond to 911 medical calls with capability to transport patients to the hospital.

Built in 1940 and rebuilt in 1997 to seismic standards, Oak Grove Station 3 serves the communities of Jennings Lodge, Oak Grove, Oatfield Ridge, and Aldercrest.

The Fire Prevention Division is also located at Station 3 and is staffed with one Fire Marshal, four Deputy Fire Marshals, five Fire Inspectors, one Public Education Specialist, one Management Analyst, and two Administrative Technicians. Fire Prevention provides educational opportunities for school programs, public presentations, and safety fairs. Engineering activities includes pre-construction plans review, fire protection system review, consumer product data collection, and fire code development. Enforcement activities includes commercial fire code inspections, open burning regulation enforcement, fire cause determination and arson investigation, and juvenile fire setter counseling and follow-up.
